I didn’t think I would say this but I actually enjoyed meeting up with like-minded women three times a week and exercising. I have enjoyed the variety of exercises and locations in and around Tauranga and Mount Maunganui. Karen provides not only encouragement but daily tips on fitness, health and well-being and amazing recipes. After 8 weeks and a loss of 10kgs and 40cms I am fitting back into clothes that I have been unable to wear for some time. My fitness levels have improved dramatically and rather than sitting on the couch I am out walking or traversing Mount Maunganui. I actually feel guilty now if I don’t exercise daily. I would recommend that you give it a go - you may enjoy it as much as I did. Heather M This is the second Revive challenge I have taken with Karen and my wardrobe has benefited from the weight loss but more significantly than that my fitness levels have increased dramatically. I have so much more energy and feel much better in mind, body and spirit. If like me, you are prone to falling off the eating well and exercising regularly wagon this really works. Being accountable to not just myself but a group of fellow challengers makes it a lot harder to let things slide. And the funny thing is I have always felt ‘allergic’ to exercise but now I actually enjoy it! I do like having the three different components to the challenge, gym, team, and individual times. At the end of each session I have felt like I have had a real workout and have found muscles which have been in limbo for way too long. Your regular emails and texts are timely and help in keeping focused. Marie G I am typically the kind of person who struggles with exercise. It is not something I can gleefully do (at this stage). My body feels as though it has been in pain everyday since I started - but I know that the pain means I have been moving my body. Karen you have been inspirational and motivating. Your energy is contagious and because you are so focused on me achieving results - it makes me want to achieve too. Seriously - if I can do it - anyone can do it. Vanessa I am feeling very positive about the whole challenge, helped no doubt by the fact that I am seeing results. My eating pattern has changed, for the better might I add, and I am not missing alcohol, chocolate, cheese, and biscuits (too much). The program is giving me what I was looking for – exercise and more healthy nutrition. I needed support from someone (YOU), or from a small group in order to make these changes as I lacked a bit of will-power to get started. A big thank you to you for your encouragement and input. I can’t thank you enough, you have motivated us off the couch and to the gym, park, and overall training. Kept us going when we could just go away. I have not been to the gym for approx 15 years and since starting the challenge I have really enjoyed trying out the different exercises. I am pleased to report that all of my clothes fit so much better and finally the scales have started going down. Overall I am sleeping much better and feel healthier. Vicki
